Lindy Brown, Reflexologist

Lindy has been trained as a reflexologist since 2009. She graduated from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Lenox, MA and Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, NY. She has always worked in the medical field. Having graduated from Thompson School of Nursing in Vermont as a LPN; she worked in hospital and pediatric clinic settings. She added pharmacy technician training to her accomplishments and became a Certified Pharmacy Tech. Lindy worked 30 years mixing IV medications in a sterile room for the patient to stay at home and receive their medications.

“I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to open my own business. I had a dream and I followed it. After receiving my first reflexology session, I decided I wanted to make others feel that great. I love what I do! When I walk into my office, it’s like ahhh this is what I’m supposed to be doing. The space is so peaceful and relaxing. I would like everyone to try reflexology just once then you will be hooked. Did I mention, I love what I do?”

In my spare time I enjoy walking, hiking (have completed The Long Trail), ballroom dancing, gardening, biking, crafts, and playing with pets. I live in Northbridge, MA with my dog, Daxel. I enjoy living in central MA as I can be close to my family.

Lindy has been a member of GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs) since 2000. During her membership in VT, Lindy completed 2 years as GFWC VT State President and 1 year as GFWC New England Region Vice President. She currently is a member of Hollis Woman’s Club.

Lindy is ARCB Certified (American Reflexology Certification Board)

ARCB (American Reflexology Certification Board) is an entity that protects public safety. They accomplish this by certifying the competency of those reflexologists practicing professionally who meet certain standards. The second objective is to act as a national referral board for certified practioners. ARCB certification shows recognition on the national level of having met core educational and skill standards within the field. The requirements to be ARCB certified are the following: to have graduated from a reflexology school, have completed 90 documentations (working on 30 people three times for free), performed reflexology on a board member, and have passed a 4 hour written exam. Certified reflexologists need to get continuing education and report it every two years to maintain their certification.
